Prior to working with us, the majority of A Life Explored’s administrative and operational processes were paper-based. There were day-to-day logs on the children’s activities like schoolwork, meals and family contact, as well as meeting minutes, management documents and financial and health records.
Keeping such extensive records on paper was inefficient and open to human error, and it was difficult for A Life Explored to control access to sensitive information. They needed a digital system where access to documents could be tightly controlled, and sensitive information could be securely and accurately recorded.

We built a digital management system for A Life Explored that consolidated all previously paper-based processes and activities into one single place online. Staff can now access documents and record information securely, with clear audit trails for added transparency.
We set up multiple user types for an extra layer of security, meaning different profiles can be granted different levels of access within the system. And there is an interactive journal area where the children in care can confidentially record their own thoughts and feelings too.
